Better Business Day 2025

Today is Better Business Day, an initiative with a simple aim - get companies to balance positive social and environmental impacts with shareholder returns. In a world where 99.99% of businesses chase only profit, it is up to us to support those 0.01% that are at least trying to create other positive outcomes along the way.  

We at Community Clothing are down for being better, and we know that those of you who will (very soon) become our new shareholders are down for that too. Chasing profit at the expense of all else just isn’t cool. Being nice is cool. It’s cool to do good, and it feels good, and lord know we all need a bit more feel-good in our lives.  

So here’s to us (we’re very proud to do what we do) and to all the other (often chronically underfunded) social enterprises out there, and the B Corps and all of the other great businesses operating without an umbrella just making good things happen for people and the natural world, and creating a bunch of happiness for all sorts of people in the process. 

The money in your pocket, and your freedom to choose where you spend it, gives you great power to effect positive change. Enjoy wielding it.
