Impact Update: Two Amazing Numbers in 2025

  • 1 min read

2025 was a year of some pretty amazing numbers for Community Clothing, but there are two that mean more than all the others.

The first is 1,000,000. That’s the number of pounds we raised back in May through our crowdfunding campaign. Huge thanks to the roughly 2,000 of you who helped us reach this number in just under 46 hours!!!

This money meant that we could grow our impact even more, adding new factory partners, creating even more work, and more seriously big numbers. Like 10 kilometres; the amount of cotton jersey our factories have knitted this year for our t shirts, pants and sweatshirts. Or 100,000; the number of socks our two sock factories have knitted in 2025! Or 36,000; the number of rivets our jeans factory have applied to our jeans this since last January!

All of this manufacturing leads to our second amazing number; 573,000. That’s the number of hours of skilled manufacturing work Community Clothing has to date created here in the UK thanks to your amazing support.

We were founded just 9 years ago to do two things; make good affordable clothes, and create skilled local work; and to know that we’re doing both, in such a serious way, makes us seriously happy.

Rest assured we’ll be working hard to make those numbers even bigger in 2026!

Happy New Year!

PS: we’ve also calculated that there’ve been about 920,000 cuppas drunk during our factory’s tea breaks this year. That’s serious supping. We should be sponsored by Tetley.

“If you’ve met me anywhere in the last year or two, you’ve probably seen me wearing these. It’s probably my favourite of all the trousers we make at Community Clothing.” Meet Patrick's favourite trousers. The Field Trouser.

One Track Club is a global, science-driven running community and coaching platform designed for "everyday athletes" seeking structured training who we've been chatting to recently about our nature positive running gear. They've very kindly offered CC customers a month's free trial (open to everyone), on top of which you have the chance to win a coaching package worth £450.

We asked award-winning photographer, writer and skater Stuart Clapp (whose photos now appear in the pages of skateboard magazines - something that would have blown the mind of his younger self), along with his pals in the South Essex skateboarding community, to field-test the Community Clothing trousers.
